Opening Ceremony of the 7th Africa Film Festival in Seoul
The Korea-Africa Foundation successfully held the opening ceremony of the 7th Africa Film Festival on Tuesday, May 20, at Lotte Cinema Dogok.
The event was attended by various distinguished guests, including members of the African Group of Ambassadors (AGA) in Korea and film industry professionals. The program featured an official opening ceremony, a reception, and a cultural performance by the jazz band “Tune Around.”
This year’s festival showcases 15 films from 15 African countries. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Egypt, an Egyptian film was selected as the opening film in Seoul.
Prior to the screening, the screenwriter of the Egyptian film "Photocopy", who visited Korea for the event, delivered a congratulatory speech, adding special significance to the occasion.
