2025 Korea-Africa Unicorn Acceleration Program GITEX Africa Orientation

On April 9th (Wednesday), the Korea-Africa Foundation held the 「2025 Korea-Africa Unicorn Acceleration Program GITEX Africa Orientation」 at the Foundation’s main conference room.

Seven startups participating in the '2025 Korea-Africa Unicorn Acceleration Program', representing diverse sectors such as environment, tourism, agriculture, education, and construction, attended the event as they prepare to enter the African market.

President Kim Young-chae personally attended the event to introduce the African business environment and deliver words of encouragement to the participating startups, supporting their successful market entry.

During the orientation, participants received a detailed briefing on the upcoming GITEX Africa 2025 exhibition, along with practical insights such as key considerations for on-site exhibition operations, effective promotion strategies, and business matching tips. A networking session also took place, where the startups shared their technologies and business models, and actively discussed joint promotional efforts and cooperation plans for the exhibition, reaffirming their commitment to successful expansion into the African market.

GITEX Africa 2025 will be held from April 14th (Monday) to 16th (Wednesday) in Marrakech, Morocco. The Foundation will provide a range of support to ensure tangible outcomes for the participating startups, including operating the Korea Pavilion, arranging pre-scheduled meetings with local partners, and assisting with participation in the Supernova Challenge, Africa’s largest startup pitch competition.
