On Wednesday, July 10, the first training session and orientation of the “Africa Startup Academy” was held for the selected academy teams of the “2025 Korea-Africa Startup Competition.”

Organized by the Korea-Africa Foundation, this competition aims to discover early-stage or aspiring startups with Africa-related ideas and support their market entry through education, mentoring, and local bootcamps.

The first group session kicked off the academy with a full orientation on the overall program schedule, a lecture on the African market overview, sharing of on-site experiences by alumni startups, and a networking session among participants.

After completing the Africa Startup Academy, 10 final teams will be selected to participate in a localization-focused training program, culminating in an on-site bootcamp to be held in Kenya this November.
