2025 Korea-Africa Startup Competition: 2nd Africa Startup Academy Training Session

On Thursday, July 24, the second training session of the “Africa Startup Academy” was held for the participants of the 2025 Korea-Africa Startup Competition.

The session focused on strengthening entrepreneurial capabilities and refining business ideas of early-stage and prospective startup teams who are willing to enter the African market.

The first session featured a lecture by Jaehee Jang, Partner at Antler Korea, on the topic of “Idea Development and Core Startup Competencies at Home and Abroad.” This was followed by Seyong Lee, CEO of Draper Startup House, who led a session on “Business Model Design and Strategy,” providing practical guidance on business development.

The training concluded with group introduction meetings between academy teams and their assigned mentors, laying the groundwork for future one-on-one mentoring sessions.

The 10 final teams selected through the program will complete a specialized training curriculum tailored to the African market and will participate in the on-site bootcamp in Kenya this November.
