Korea-Africa Foundation(KAF) & Government of Sierra Leone(GoSL) MOU Singing Ceremony

On Thursday, August 28, the Korea-Africa Foundation signed a multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with three ministries of the Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL). Through this MOU with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Communications, Technology and Innovation, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs, the parties have decided to pursue continuous cooperation and exchange activities to strengthen relations between Korea and Sierra Leone and to support the development of young entrepreneurs in both countries. 

The signing ceremony was attended by government officials, including the Minister of Youth Affairs, H.M. Ibrahim Sannoh, as well as tech hub professionals and young entrepreneurs. Ambassador of Sierra Leone, Paul Sobba Massaquoi, also attended and worked to promote exchanges between the two nations. 

Building on this agreement, the parties will cooperate to share policies and experiences on the digital economy, entrepreneurship, and innovation; to foster young entrepreneurs from Sierra Leone within the Korean startup ecosystem; and to explore collaboration in youth, technology, and development through mentoring and joint activities. 

The Korea-Africa Foundation will serve as a bridge through active cooperation with Sierra Leone, supporting the successful entry of Korean startups into Africa and enabling Sierra Leonean startups to benchmark the Korean market.
