The Korea-Africa Foundation (Kim Young-chae, President) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of The Republic of the Gambia (represented by H.E. Ambassador Masanneh N. Kinteh) at the Korea-Africa Foundation office in Seocho-gu, Seoul, on Tuesday, November 4.
Through this agreement, the two organizations explored specific cooperation measures in various fields, including youth employment and skills development, trade and investment promotion, support for digital transformation, and capacity building and knowledge exchange. In particular, the MOU aims to strengthen solidarity between the two nations by focusing support on youth empowerment and technological innovation.
Furthermore, the organizations agreed to strengthen bilateral digital cooperation, which includes building a cooperation network between Korean and Gambian enterprises to promote trade and investment, and supporting The Gambia's digital transition and improvement of public services.
This agreement is expected to solidify cooperation between Korea and The Gambia and establish a framework for practical collaboration across various sectors for mutual development.
