Im Sang-woo, Ambassador for Public Diplomacy(former Ambassador to Madagascar), donates local artworks from Madagascar

The Korea-Africa Foundation has received a donation of local artworks from Madagascar from Lim Sang-woo, Ambassador for Public Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (former Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Madagascar).

The donated works were personally acquired by Ambassador Im Sang-woo during his tenure in Madagascar in 2018. They are contemporary Madagascan artworks created using recycled materials such as scrap wood. Featuring the zebu?a symbol of Madagascar?as their motif, these pieces embody the lives, culture, and communal values of the local people.

The Korea-Africa Foundation plans to collect and preserve these African artworks and utilize them in various cultural exchange projects, such as creating exhibition spaces to introduce African culture and art. We ask for your continued interest and support.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Ambassador for Public Diplomacy Im Sang-woo for generously donating these meaningful works.
