The Korea-Africa Foundation held the 2026 K-Food Egypt Delegation Performance Sharing Session on June 26, 2026 (Friday) at the conference room of the Korea Food Industry Association in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The session was organized to share the key outcomes of the 2026 K-Food Egypt Delegation, which was conducted in Cairo, Egypt, in May, and to discuss opportunities for strengthening business cooperation between Korean food companies and Egyptian partners, as well as future directions for the program. The event was attended by representatives from participating companies in the delegation, along with officials from The Korea-Africa Foundation and the Korea Food Industry Association.
During the session, participating companies shared the outcomes of the B2B business matchmaking meetings, the status of follow-up discussions with Egyptian buyers, consumer feedback gathered through the B2C tasting and promotional event, and key findings on Egypt's food market and distribution environment obtained through market research. In particular, participants reported a number of tangible follow-up developments, including pilot sales with major local distributors, purchase order discussions and container shipment preparations with Egyptian importers, and progress in product registration and customs clearance procedures.
The 2026 K-Food Egypt Delegation was jointly organized by The Korea-Africa Foundation, the Korea Food Industry Association, and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Egypt to promote business collaboration between 16 Korean food companies and their counterparts in Egypt. The delegation was conducted in Cairo, Egypt, from May 2 to May 9, 2026, during which participating companies took part in one-on-one B2B business matchmaking meetings with Egyptian buyers, B2C tasting and promotional events for local consumers, and market research on distribution channels and the local business environment to explore potential business opportunities and establish new partnerships.
The Korea-Africa Foundation will continue to work closely with relevant organizations and businesses to foster sustainable business partnerships and facilitate mutually beneficial cooperation between Korea and African countries.
