On June 5 (Friday), the Korea-Africa Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the KDI School of Public Policy and Management.
President Kim Young-chae met with Kim Jun-kyung, President of the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, as well as Lee Jun-soo, Director of the Office of Admissions and External Relations, and Ha Ho-jung, Head of the Office of Admissions and External Relations, to discuss ways to broaden the foundation for Korea?Africa diplomacy, promote mutual exchanges, and strengthen capacity in policy education and international cooperation.
Under the MOU, the two institutions agreed to identify and promote cooperative projects in the following areas: ▲conducting joint research and academic events in the fields of Korea-Africa policy and development, ▲strengthening cooperation in people-to-people exchanges and expert networks, and ▲carrying out joint projects and information exchange to promote Korea-Africa cooperation. They also agreed to establish a close framework for mutual cooperation.


Following the signing ceremony, the Foundation held a meeting with 35 African international students enrolled at the KDI School of Public Policy and Management.
During the meeting, the Foundation listened to the students' experiences and perspectives on studying in Korea and exchanged diverse opinions on expanding exchanges and cooperation with African youth.
This meeting was the Foundation's second gathering with African international students, following its meeting with African students enrolled at KAIST. The Foundation plans to further continue expanding exchanges and cooperation with various African international student communities in the future.
