Participation in the 2026 Global Market Expansion Program (GMEP) Management Agency Kick-off Workshop
관리자 / 2026-07-03 오후 12:00:00 / 71The Korea-Africa Foundation participated in the 2026 Global Market Expansion Program (GMEP) Kick-off Workshop, held from July 2 to 3 at the Grand Mercure Imperial Palace Seoul in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The GMEP is a global market expansion support program overseen by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS), managed by the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED), and implemented by the Korea-Africa Foundation. Under the program, comprehensive domestic and overseas acceleration programs are provided to 15 promising Korean startups in the Climate Tech and AgeTech sectors seeking to expand into African markets.
The Kick-off Workshop featured a management agency roundtable, global business etiquette training, sessions on the global startup ecosystem, and networking opportunities. Participating management agencies also shared updates on their project implementation status and future operational plans. Representing the Korea-Africa Foundation, Mr. Jong-kil Lee, Director of the Exchange and Cooperation Department, presented the Foundation's key achievements in 2025 and its key performance indicators (KPIs) for 2026, while outlining the direction and future plans for its Africa market expansion support programs.
