The Korea-Africa Foundation visited REPOA, a policy research institution based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on July 30, 2026, and held discussions with Executive Director Donald Mmari, Director of the Strategic Research Centre Jamal Msami, and other representatives.
During the meeting, the two sides shared information on REPOA’s key research areas and ongoing policy research initiatives and exchanged views on Tanzania’s critical minerals policies, investment environment, and strategies for promoting local industries.
The Foundation also introduced its ongoing area studies on Tanzania and policy research on critical minerals. Both sides discussed ways to expand research cooperation between the two institutions, including the sharing of research materials and the pursuit of joint research projects.
The Korea-Africa Foundation will continue to strengthen cooperation with leading research institutions across Africa, expand its local research networks, and promote policy research and knowledge exchange between Korea and Africa.
