On Friday, June 13, the Korea-Africa Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), held the first Africa Experts Roundtable under the theme “Korea-Algeria Economic Cooperation” at Koreana Hotel.

This roundtable was organized to explore practical directions for bilateral economic cooperation, grounded in an understanding of Algeria’s political system and industrial and economic trends.

Professors Ki Dae Lim (Busan University of Foreign Studies) and Eun Young Nam (Dongguk University) gave thematic presentations. The panel discussion featured senior experts including Dr. Kwon Hyung Lee (KIEP), Mr. Jun Han Park (KOTRA), and Mr. Young Soo Jang (KIAT), who engaged in in-depth discussions on business opportunities in Algeria and corresponding policy responses.

The Korea-Africa Foundation plans to strengthen cooperation with government ministries and research institutes following this roundtable and will actively promote knowledge-sharing activities to establish a sustainable foundation for economic cooperation with Africa.
